helo mark! super love the pictures.. i was about to make a reservation at paras beach but when i saw your pics, biglang nagbago isip ko 🙂 may i know how much is the rate of the room you were renting when you visited BBC? what do you think, would it be better if kami nlang ang mamili ng mga pupuntahan namin? because you were saying that tour packages are a little bit expensive.. your reply will be very much helpful..

    • Cris,

Our room was priced at P2,300 during that time, I do not now if they already changed it. I think it is better to reserve ahead of schedule because most of the time, the resort is fully-booked when you get there. You can opt to take the “tour package” of the tricycle drivers at P1000-P1200.

HI THERE.. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS PHOTOS.. YOU ARE VERY TALENTED WHEN IT COMES TO PHOTO CAPTURING. PARANG NANDOON NARIN AKO SA CAMIGUIN.. I JUST WANT TO ASK. FOR YOUR OPINION, ALIN ANG MAS MAGANDA, BAHAY BAKASYUNAN O PARAS BEACH RESORT? WE ARE PLANNING KASI TO GO THERE THIS AUG. IT WILL BE OUR FIRST TIME THERE. DALAWA LANG KAMI ANG PUPUNTA. IF SA BAHAY BAKASYUNAN KAMI, MAGING ACCESSABLE BA ANG WHITE ISLAND DOON.? PLEASE HELP ME. GUSTO KUNG ITOUR LAHAT NANG MAGAGANDANG LUGAR SA CAMIGUIN. PLS ADVICE ME KUNG ANONG DAPAT GAWIN.. YOUR REPLY WILL BE HONORED MUCH… THANKS A ALOT.

    • Mark Maranga says:

      Fatima,

Bahay Bakasyunan sa Camiguin (BBC) is better and bigger than Paras Beach Resort. I suggest you go to BBC if you want peace and nice music at night. If you want adventure like Jetski, Banana Boat, Parasailing, etc go to Paras.

There’s no problem if you choose any of the two resorts, you can still go to White Island by availing BBC or Paras package tour or asking a local who owns a “motorella” to tour you to the different attractions in Camiguin. Usually the local with “motorella” offers it at P1200-P1500 but continue to negotiate until they go for P1000 or even lower. The resorts’ package tours is quite expensive because they use an air-conditioned van.

If you want to go to White Island, you will be taken to one of the northern beach resorts of Camiguin for your starting point. You will ride a “bangka” for P400-P500 (two way). For the other attractions, entrance fees are about P5-P20 per person. Please check all my other posts under “Camiguin” category for more details.

      Regards,

      Mark M.
