Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor

Several years ago, Cambugahay Falls was not recognized by the Tourism Department of Siquijor in the Philippines because of its untidy area and unpleasant surroundings. Years after, the relentless efforts of the Local Government Unit’s of Siquijor especially the drive of its tourism authorities paid off. They have beautified the area and removed allΒ  the displeasing things in Cambugahay Falls. Now, it is a breathtaking scenery of 3 levels of pool with pristine blue waters.

Cambugahay Falls is in a secluded and relatively unexplored area located 2 kilometers from the main area of the town of Lazi. The waterfalls beckon trekkers for a refreshing dip. Visitors can either do a river or forest trek to get to the falls.

Cambugahay Falls is a short distance from the parking area. There is a P5-P20 fee depending on the type of vehicle you are using. Just cross the road and walk down a series of concrete steps to the first pool. The first pool of Cambugahay Falls is the deepest and the most excellent for swimming. The other two on the top levels are not as deep. It can get crowded on weekends but during weekdays you can sometimes use it solo.
