Musa Meristem Banana Culture

The Musa Meristem Banana Culture is one of the Philippines’ largest banana tissue culture plantation. It is located in Davao Crocodile Park Complex, Diversion Road, Ma-a, Davao. Inside the Musa Meristem Banana Culture, one can see thousands of Banana leaves planted inside a black disposable container which serves as pot during cultivation of the Bananas.

The Musa Meristem Laboratories has been cultivating thousands of Banana leaves every year, which then sold or planted before it becomes into big trees. Cultured leaves are placed inside 8 ounce bottles which are developed inside the laboratory and then transferred in the garden after it’s ready to face the sun. In the garden, the banana cultures are placed underneath a black net so it will not absorb harsh sunlight during the day.
