He is a phenomenal Davao artist who created gigantic sculptures including The Durian sculpture in the Davao International Airport. He graduated in the University of the Philippines with the degree of Fine Arts. He hopes to “create a spark” in Mindanao through his art works. He wants to inspire young artists to continue their passion and the love for their crafts. Kublai Millan is the one who created the ikampilani of Sultan Kudarat which is a 50 ft sculpture which he made within 16 days.

You simply cannot miss Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel because from the outset you can see gigantic, tribal-inspired cemented sculptures guarding the perimeter of the hotel. These huge statues look as if beckoning you to stop and wonder at their grandeur beauty. But the art work doesn’t stop there; wait till you see the lobby of the hotel. There are no walls inside Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel, just rows and rows of paintings and art works from ceiling down to the floor. All of these are work of art by Kublai Millan.

Inside the building are rows and columns of murals, art photos, paintings, art pieces made of hair, toothpicks, nails, steel, and glass. At the hotel roofdeck lies an open terrace with 17 twisted lamp posts, giving a look of solemnity, sheltered by a giant table and chairs reminding us of our smallness in this grand universe.  The art will wake up your heart and soul and the message will wake up your mind.
