Sidlakang Negros Village in Dumaguete

Considered as a one-stop shop of Negros Oriental’s finest arts, crafts and delicacies, the Sidlakang Negros Village in Dumaguete welcomes tourists with the islands best souvenir items. It is born to entice the province’s 25 local government units to preserve the cultural heritage and prosperity of Negros Oriental.

The Sidlakang Negros Village is a permanent venue for trade and tourism exhibitions. A stage and open-air auditorium provides space for performances while at the front area are concrete stalls decorated with cogon and bamboo to display a native look and a different atmosphere to the tourists’ eyes.

Blanco Drive, Piapi in Dumaguete City, a few minutes away from the city center, the lush greeneries that surround the Sidlakang Negros Village makes the visitor feel comfortable and one with nature. You can see a wide-variety of souvenir shops in the Philippines such as Aproniana in Bohol, Souvenir Shops in Boracay, Cheding in Iligan among others but Sidlakang Negros Village is unlike any other. When Sidlakang Negros Village first opened, the business hours is from 9:00 am until 6:00 in the evening but in a news posted in Negros Oriental’s official website, the business hours will be extended until 10:00 pm.

How to get there

Sidlakang Negros Village is about 1.5 kilometers northwest of Dumaguete Seaport and about 2.5 kilometers southeast of the Dumaguete’s Airport in Sibulan. It is near the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, Provincial Tourism Office and the Hall of Justice. You can take a tricycle for P8 per passenger per destination or you can take a taxi for less than P100.
