Suislide in Danao, Bohol

Aside from Bohol‘s amazing tourist attractions, the island is now offering a different way to entice travelers to visit the island. Developed and managed by the Local Government Unit of the town of Danao, the EAT Danao Adventure invites tourists to enjoy their heart-pumping adventures while helping the community.

One of the sought-after activities here is Suislide, their own version and name of Zipline.

Suislide in the town of Danao may not be new in the country but it is one of the highest ziplines you will experience. Doce Pares Zipline in Cebu and Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon are known for this kind of activity but the one in Danao offers a distinctive pleasure after finishing the ride. Once you experience this heart-pounding activity, you will surely say that it is the longest minute of your life. For only P350 per person, Suislide is a back and forth zipline above Wahig River. It consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline cliff, which has a distance of about 500 meters and a depth of about 200 meters. The maximum working capacity is 5 tons and the adventure can accommodate a maximum of 200 persons in a day.

The starting point of Suislide is parallel to the Sky Ride and Plunge’s height. At first, you will be hesitant to try the activity because of the height and the name, which is near the word “suicide”.

Actually, Suislide is just a combination of the word “Suis” (the sound of the cable ride once you get to slide) and “Slide” (the act of moving smoothly along a surface while remaining in contact with it).

If you want to visit the town of Danao, be sure you are free the whole day because traveling from Tagbilaran City to Danao takes about 3 hours.

Try the Suislide because it pays for “Rural Scholarships” and try the other activities as well such as the Sky Ride (Cable Car) and Plunge (Free Fall) when you get there.

you are from cebu right? is there any plan or is it possible to have a cable car from busay to downtown cebu? it’s good to have it in cebu. i’m a proud cebuano too.

    • Jomarie,

Yes, I am a Cebuano. I don’t have any idea about plans of making a Cable Car from Busay to Downtown Cebu. If they can make this, it will surely boost the tourism of the City.
