Pier 1 Terminal of Cebu City

Dominated by the world-class ships of Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Pier 1 Terminal of Cebu City is got to be one of the busiest Pier Terminals in the Metro. Aside from huge number of cargo trucks and heavy equipments that come and go in this port, there are regular buses that ply the Terminal-Boat route, which is the only way to ride the boat even though it is just a few meters away. Container Vans are always visible in this busy port. The entrance to the port area is only P10 per vehicle (car, motorcycle, bus, van) but you can choose to walk from the Port’s Entrance Gate to the Terminal because it is just seconds away. Porters are also regular in this area and they have a tariff to follow.

Here are a couple of photos taken from the Mariner’s Court Function Room, which is obviously just in front of the Port Terminal.

Most of the Cokaliong Ships stay in this terminal. MV (Motorized Vehicle) Filipinas Dinagat, MV Filipinas Cebu, MV Filipinas Cebu, MV Filipinas Dumaguete, MV Filipinas Nasipit, MV Filipinas Dapitan and MV Filipinas Iligan are just some of the boats that stay in the Pier 1 Terminal. They constantly travel to places in the Visayas and Mindanao, which includes Ozamis, Iligan, Butuan, Cagayan.

Pier 1 Terminal of Cebu City is about half-kilometer away from Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and Sto Nino Church. It is just a few meters away from Port San Pedro and the Plaza Independencia.
