Cambuhawe Spring Swimming Pool in Balamban

Recognized as one of the tourist attractions in the Municipality of Balamban, the Cambuhawe Spring Swimming Pool is no longer the same Spring Pool that it used to be. Aside from opening only on Saturdays and Sundays, the Swimming Pool is no longer maintained very well, especially during weekdays – at least, by the time we went there.

Situated just a couple of kilometers from Gaisano Balamban, which is at the foot of the Transcentral Highway, Cambuhawe Spring Swimming Pool is one of several tourist attractions in Balamban.

Just a few meters from the Cambuhawe Resort is a sari-sari store with videoke, perfect for an afternoon fun together with family and friends if ever you go there on a weekday.

The water at Cambuhawe is clean and cold because it comes directly from a mountain spring (known in Filipino as “tubod”) but the pool is already surrounded by green algae, which looks gross to many.

From Metro Cebu, you can take a v-hire (Van for Hire) going to Balamban. Tell the driver to drop you off at the New Gaisano along Transcentral. You can ride a tricycle or a single motorcycle (habal-habal) if there is, in going to Cambuhawe Spring Swimming Pool. Tell the driver that you’re going to Cambuhawe Spring and it will be an easy drive for him because it is a familiar name.

The Entrance Fee at Cambuhawe Spring Swimming Pool is 20 pesos on weekends, 50 pesos at nighttime. The ride from Gaisano Balamban Mall to Cambuhawe Spring is only 20 pesos per head.

During weekends the cottages at the Spring Pool may become full so if you are planning to go there, it is better to be there early in the morning.
